Nancy Chadwick

NANCY CHADWICK grew up in a north suburb of Chicago. After receiving a Journalism degree at Marquette University, she got her first job at Leo Burnett advertising agency in Chicago. After ten years in advertising and another ten years in corporate banking, she quit and started to write, finding inspiration from her years in Chicago and San Francisco. Under the Birch Tree, a memoir of discovering connections and finding home is her story of how a birch tree helped her to find her place to be.
